eCommunication 19.03.18 - Whooping Cough

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
This eCommunication is to advise you that the College has been notified of a confirmed case of whooping cough (pertussis) in the school community.  
Whooping Cough is a highly infectious illness that is spread by coughing and sneezing. 

Protection against whooping cough from vaccination does decrease over time and whooping cough may still occur in older children and adults who were fully immunised in early childhood. 

Therefore, it is important for parents to be aware of the symptoms of whooping cough and to seek medical attention should they be concerned.
